Course Rating

Calling all volunteers who love to see new golf courses (and have a little spare time)!  There are many courses that need to be rated each year, and this year is no exception.  Course ratings take place on weekdays (on weekends, courses are typically too crowded to rate).

If you're interested in learning how courses are rated and in helping perform a rating on one or more courses this year, please contact CSGA Exec. Director, Mike Moraghan,.  He would love to have you join the team!

If you have ever wondered what happens when you go to rate a course, open this document to get a first-hand account of the steps that the team uses.  It's eye opening to understand what's involved and what measurements are used.  Plus you play the course after you rate it, so you can get a better understanding of how the information you gathered and assessed gets put to use.  Course Rating Steps

Please note: Although many courses are re-rated each year, there still may be old course cards with incorrect ratings out there.  Please check to ensure you are posting the newest ratings.  The computer for posting scores at the course or www.ghin.com will have the latest ratings available from any set of tees.

If you would like to request a rating of your course, or have questions concerning Course Rating, please e-mail Mike Mornaghan.
