Suzy Whaley Inducted into Connecticut Golf Hall of Fame
September 30, 2021
Local favorite to Connecticut women’s golf Suzy Whaley was inducted to the CT Golf Hall of Fame recently in a ceremony at the Patterson Club in Fairfield, CT.
She made history when she won the 2002 PGA Connecticut Section Championship which earned her a spot in the 2003 Greater Hartford Open, making her the first woman to qualify for a PGA Tour event since Babe Zaharias in 1945.
Perhaps most notably for SNEWGA, she mentioned founding SNEWGA member and fellow Hall-of-Famer Betty Boyko in her remarks.
