Instructions for Submitting Tournament Results

In order to meet newspaper deadlines and to ensure tournament results are reported in the next day’s papers, the Public Relations coordinator MUST receive your information by 6:00 PM on the day of the event!

Public Relations Guidelines for Tournaments

  1. Prior to the tournament, contact the public relations coordinator via e-mail or phone to ensure a plan is in place to receive, by 5:00 PM the day of a major tournament and by end of the day for any other tournament, tournaments results and notify the appropriate local papers.
  2. After the tournament field is set, send a copy of the player roster (individuals, or teams & player names, as well as club and hometown, and also including tee times) as soon as possible to the PR coordinatorand to the VP of TournamentsBrooke Samuelson.  It is preferable that roster is submitted using the Tournament Setup & Results template.
  3. SAME DAY OF TOURNAMENT: at the end of each day of the tournament, send results to the Public Relations coordinator, and to the VP of Tournaments, Brooke Samuelson via e-mail (by 5:00 PM for majors).   Please use the Tournament Setup & Results template or the TPP scoring format and include individual or team names, home course, home town, scores, prizes, and skill contest winners:
